O pohon se stará elektromotor o výkonu 107 kW, který nabízí okamžité reakce, plynulou akceleraci a především velmi tichou jízdu. MX-30 zaujme netradičně řešenými zadními dveřmi, výraznými proporcemi a čistým designem. Uvnitř potěší moderní technologie, příjemné materiály a kvalitní zpracování. Není přitom stavěná na rekordní dojezd ani maximální výkon, ale především na každodenní používání, město a kratší trasy, kde vynikne její tichý chod, svižnost a snadné ovládání. Právě osobitý přístup dělá z MX-30 zajímavou alternativu k běžným elektromobilům. Nabízí elektrický pohon, charakter Mazdy a originální provedení v kombinaci, která rozhodně nepůsobí tuctově.
