Baterie 13,8 kWh je umístěna ve spodní části vozu, takže neubírá prostor v interiéru, a nabízí dojezd kolem 45 km na elektřinu. Vůz podporuje klasické i rychlodobíjení, což je u PHEV řešení stále vzácné. Na baterii platí záruka 8 let / 160 000 km. Outlander umožňuje elektrické vytápění i chlazení interiéru s možností ovládání přes mobilní aplikaci. Pohon 4×4 je permanentní a ve sportovním režimu posílá více výkonu na zadní nápravu.
