Jde o kompaktní rodinné SUV s délkou těsně pod 4,4 metru, nabízí se s benzinovým hybridním pohonem a lze jej dovybavit třetí řadou sedadel (za příplatek 30 tisíc Kč). Kombinuje praktičnost malého městského vozu s designem a vyšším posedem typickým pro SUV. Je to originální a snadno rozeznatelné auto. Má výraznou přední masku s dvojitým motivem světel a vysokou stavbu karoserie s ochrannými plastovými prvky na prazích a blatnících.

Citroën C5 Airscross je úplně jiným autem, než jsme byli doposud u C5 zvyklí. Francouzi jasně reagují na současný evropský hlad po SUV. A že to vzali za jiný konec, je rozhodně dobře. C5 Aircross je totiž komfortní jako SUV, praktický jako MPV, ale v žádném případě není sportovní jako crossover. Ostatně ne každá čtyř či pětičlenná rodina s objemnými zavazadly touží řezat zatáčky a využívat tachometr až na doraz.
